Single-family home permits in the Greater Cincinnati region were up 27.7 percent for the first four months of year compared to the same timeframe in 2009, according to the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati.
A total of 668 single-family permits were issued in Clermont, Butler, Hamilton and Warren counties from January through April compared to 523 during the same period last year.
Warren County led with 229 permits, followed by Butler with 164, Clermont with 154, and Hamilton with 121.
The average permit price for single-family homes in the four-county area during the period was $209,666 and $117,448 for condominiums. Typically the final sales price is approximately 20 percent higher, the HBA said.
The HBA of Greater Cincinnati is among of the top 20 largest associations the country with nearly 1,000 member companies.
