Joseph A. Cristo, president at family-owned Cristo Homes in Middletown, was recently inaugurated as the 2009 President of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati.
During his tenure, Cristo will provide leadership for the over 1,100-member organization.
"There is no question that we are entrenched in a challenging time both in the housing market and the economy as a whole," Cristo said. "With that said, I am ready to accept the challenge of leading the HBA. We obviously have much work to do, but I am looking forward to 2009. I feel honored and privileged to get the opportunity to serve the HBA as president and am anxious to get my term underway."
Cristo has been actively involved with the HBA since 2004, serving on a variety of different committees including HOMEARAMAâ site selection, the HBA's Visionary Committee, Industry Standards and Marketing Committees. In addition to his duties as vice president in 2008, Cristo also served as a trustee for Build PAC, the HBA's Political Action Committee.
