Our Story
About Cristo Homes
Built on Family. Driven by Innovation.Cristo Homes has been helping families across Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Wilmington, and Northern Kentucky find a place to call home since 1963. What started as a family homebuilding company has grown into one of the region's most recognized and trusted builders — while remaining rooted in the same core values it was founded on: hard work, integrity, value, and long-term relationships.
Today, brothers Adam Cristo and Joe Cristo carry that legacy forward as the company's owners and leaders. Growing up in Middletown, Ohio, homebuilding was never just a business for them — it was part of everyday life. From construction sites to model homes to customer conversations, they learned the industry from the ground up and worked in nearly every part of the building process before stepping into their current roles. That hands-on background shapes how they lead the company today.
Adam Cristo — CEO
Adam Cristo has been with Cristo Homes since 1997, bringing decades of experience across construction operations, land development, and company leadership. As CEO, he focuses on identifying growth opportunities, strengthening internal systems, and positioning the company to meet the needs of an evolving housing market.

A recognized leader in the regional homebuilding industry, he served as President of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati in 2019 and has been involved with the Young Presidents' Organization — a global network of chief executives focused on leadership development and lifelong learning. He also participates in educational Builder 20 forums dedicated to sharing best practices and improving performance across the homebuilding industry.
Joe Cristo — President
Joe Cristo has played a central role in shaping Cristo Homes' reputation across Greater Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio. As President, he helps guide the company's commitment to quality construction, lasting value, and thoughtfully planned communities designed for long-term success.
A respected leader in the regional homebuilding industry, Joe has served on the boards of both the Dayton Area Home Builders Association and the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati. He also served as President of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati in 2009, reflecting the strong relationships and credibility he has built among industry peers, partners, and community stakeholders.
His leadership continues to support Cristo Homes' focus on dependable operations, customer satisfaction, and responsible growth.
More Than Building Houses
Cristo Homes was never built around the idea of building the most expensive homes in the market. It was built around the idea that families deserve thoughtfully designed homes with lasting value — homes built with energy-efficient systems, smart construction practices, and features that improve everyday life at a price point that makes sense.
That philosophy has guided the company through six decades of changing markets, evolving buyer preferences, and new construction technologies. Today Cristo Homes builds townhomes, patio homes, and single-family homes across communities in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky — serving first-time buyers, growing families, empty nesters, and everyone in between.
The company continues to evolve — embracing new technologies, refining home designs, and adapting to what today's buyers want most. But the mission has never changed.
Build homes and communities that families are proud to live in.
Adam and Joe Cristo remain personally involved in every part of that mission — combining the values of a family business with the innovation and forward-thinking mindset needed to keep growing for the next generation. Because for Cristo Homes, this has never just been about building houses.
It is about building trust, opportunity, and places people proudly call home.
What Our
Homebuyers Are Saying
The quality and little details were big improvements over the other homes we looked at. We weren't just looking at 'right now,' but also how the home will sell in the future. When you think about resale value and compare standard features and upgrades, they were the best!
